Surface Preparation & Crack Repair

What is surface preparation? Surface preparation is the sanding, filling, crack-routing, skimming and priming of walls so that paint bonds correctly and lasts.

Paint without prep fails in two years. We route every crack wider than 0.3mm, bond it, skim it flush and prime it before the topcoat. Stains are sealed with the right blocker — not just painted over.

Prep is roughly 40% of the time we spend on any job. It's also the difference between a finish that still looks new in year five and one that's peeling by year two.

Best for: Older homes, flaking paint, cracked plaster.
